You've read half of "The Da Vinci Code" but not a single page of "A Prayer for Owen Meany"?!! Sweet gentle Jesus! I don't think I can be your friend anymore.
I've read everything on your list, except "The Da Vinci Code" and everything by Dan Brown. And I think it's made me a better person. Not because of what I've read, but because of what I HAVEN'T read.
If you ever find yourself thinking, "Well, I have a copy of 'Anna Karenina,' but what the hell, this Dan Brown book looks like an easier read," you might as well masturbate to a Victoria's Secret catalog. The intellectual effort is roughly the same.
And don't get me started on Helen Fielding. I've taken shits that looked more like art.
