Madness
I think Murphy's won the Maaartini Mad
I have decided to blog something new I've learned every day for one year, no matter how obvious, lame, shocking, personal, or unimportant. Maybe I will be what you learn today!

??? ok.. this mean you are drunk and can't post? Not fair you get to drink and I can't.
they did and then we ate fried food
Will people never learn that martini's and fried food are not a good combination? All that grease just isn't good for me!
Yes, your drunken memories are correct. Murphy's did indeed win. Which isn't surprising, given some of the competition. I seem to recall being handed a martini that consisted of pineapple, BBQ pork and a twisty straw covered in sparkles. That's not a martini, it's a gay pride parade float.
This year's contest put the "madness" back in "Martini Madness" - and then took out the "martini."
Are you kidding?? That was the one I DIDN'T try.. something about putting beer in something and calling it a martini. After the 'Portini' from Marys I was scared right back into tradition. I actually thought Steiners was the best, and I don't even like gin. I'm starting a blog (finally) and my rant about that whole event will be the first post. Goat Cheese???
To you O Porcelain God I pray,
there is really too much to say.....
I couldn't even see straight last night while trying to post, and then I got tired of trying so I just published what I could before puking up Murphy's fried pub grub, a Saddles fried olive or three, Maya's cactus stuffed olive, a chewed up coffee bean, more Gin than I've ever wanted to smell, let alone drink, and, oh god of vitreous ceramic, I'm getting sick again just thinking about it.
I forgot to vote, but I'm sure it wouldn't have been for Murph's. There's just something wrong with mixing a Kalamata olive with coffee liqueur, beer and whatever the hell else was in that thing. I thought SMI had a real martini, I liked Mary's Portini actually, but I think my vote would be for the fig if I could only remember which one it was.
You're right Sharp Nail, Madness was definitely the word.
I can't wait to read the new JMB blog. Hurry it up will ya?
OK.. My take..
JMB Blog
fried food is the perfect complement to alcohol. A girl I know taught me that many years ago. My vote was for the fig and not just because I am a fig. Steiner's was my second favorite and not just because it's my second home.
I love love love alcoholics.
I prefer the term "drunken slut"
